This on line conversion tool converts values of computer’s storage capacity, RAM memory, PC’s components and computing devices or other electronics’ commonly used units or measures from Metric to US to (UK) British Imperial systems, and vise versa deals with all measurement values and conversions for any of the following computer units used in computing: byte ( B ), kilobyte ( KB ), megabyte ( MB ), gigabyte ( GB ), terabyte ( TB ), petabyte ( PB ), exabyte ( EB ), bit ( b ), kilo bit ( Kb ), mega bit ( Mb ), giga bit ( Gb ), tera bit ( Tb ), peta bit ( Pb ), exa bit ( Eb ). What is the size and symbol or prefix difference between bit and byte numbers’s and file name symbols? Use the computer file Byte vs. bit calculator above for the purpose.

Thank you for putting these converters together. Needed to convert kb’s to mb plus how many GB’s are there in 1 TB.
Computer Unit : 1 kilobyte ( KB ),
Equals to: 0.001 megabyte ( MB ),
Fraction : 1/1000 of one megabyte ( MB ).
Is 1.00Mb = 1024.00Kb?
Where 1 megabyte ( MB ) equals to 1024 KB kilobytes ( KB symbol ).
Same like for 1 terabyte ( TB ) which equals again to 1024 GB gigabytes ( GB ) because:
Is 1.00TB = 1024.00GB?
Computing Unit : 1 gigabyte ( symbol GB ),
Equals into : 0.001 terabyte ( TB ),
Fraction : 1/1000 of one terabyte ( TB ).

Great and easy tool to convert kb into gb and firstly I had a thought that 1 GB equals to 1000 KB but somewhere deeper in my mind I saw the conversion number was 1024, and that is why I came to here convert the kb’s to gb’s exactly.
Is 1.00MB = 1024.00KB’s?
Conversion KB into MB from the value of: 1024 kilobytes ( KB ), Equals into: 1.00 megabyte ( MB ).
Comment from/about : convert kb into gb
Converting KB into GB ( kilobyte to gigabyte ) and Kb into Gb ( kilobit to gigabit ) but first I was glad to distinguish the difference in these computer units between KB and Kb plus GB and Gb – the byte ( ‘B’ short for byte ) and bit ( ‘b’ short for bit ) name prefixes symbols before I understood the actual conversion variations.
1 kilobyte ( KB ) = 0.00 000 095 367 432 gigabytes ( GB )
1 gigabyte ( GB ) = 1 048 576.00 kilobytes ( KB )
1 kilobyte ( KB ) = 0.00 000 762 939 453 gigabits ( Gb )
1 kilobit ( Kb ) = 0.00 000 011 920 929 gigabytes ( GB )
1 kilobit ( Kb ) = 0.00 000 095 367 432 gigabits ( Gb )
1 gigabit ( Gb ) = 1 048 576.00 kilobits ( Kb )
1 gigabit ( Gb ) = 131 072.00 kilobytes ( KB )
1 gigabyte ( GB ) = 8 388 608.00 kilobits ( Kb )
Comment from/about : convert KB into GB and Kb into Gb
convert kb into gb equals ~ 0.000001 gigabyte (exactly, or, more precisely to 0.000000954 of one gigabyte (1) or 0.001/1 )

..is there any formula used in converting?..how did u arrived 1024 megabyte from 1GB?..

Interesting post, this may also help:
8 bits = 1 Byte
1024 Bytes = 1 Kilobyte
1024 Kilobytes = 1 Megabyte
1024 Megabytes = 1 Gigabyte
1024 Gigabytes = 1 Terabyte
1024 Terabytes = 1 Petabyte

I am very well aware that cash makes people greatly independent in using new technologies. So they can easy pay for new computers and computer upgrades because there are not cheap. I would like to be able to afford it, a new one with this USB 3 speed, but I must earn more first, not an easy task for young or old. What to do if one doesn’t have money? A small financial loan, or borrow from parents again who bought me the computer initially? Patience while waiting is my go.

Kilobyte should be: kB not KB (BIG K means Kelvin, prefix kilo is: k) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SI
Comment from/about : Richard
Richard, yes of course there are two variations for kilobyte, kB and KB. And which one is the one and how they differ, KB versus kB? For quantities of the decimal system one thousand bytes have prefix kB = kilobyte = 1,000.00 bytes = 1 kB.
And depending upon context, computer and information sciences, 1 KB (or kibibyte symbol KiB also) equal 1024 bytes – in mathematics/numerical value. For Binary or digital data and for data transfer rates systems, digital data storage and so on, the KB = 1024 bytes = 1 KB kilobyte having prefix symbol KB big K.
