I was looking for converters from microseconds per ft to translate to feet pound per second, converting cal / min to j / sec., and, btu per hour to gram per second. Could get help with all of it in here, thanks!

Got quick help for my current project, needed to make conversions :

1. from 1.75 kilowatt kw to mega M unit = 0.001750000 megawatt

2. wh to calorie cal

3. how to convert btu to hp horse-power

4. btu to cubic feet ft3 per second and multiply by 60 into minutes then hours

and basically how to convert 1 megawatt into other common units

My online task was conversion from btu/h to foot pound per minute :

1700 BTU per hour btu / h = 22048.13 foot pound per minute ft-lb / min after the value translation.

I am studying details about voltage related to the solar power applications and after this learning process I’m planing to install solar power generating collectors on the roof of our house.

Right now I made convert 1 ft lb to calories:

1 ft-lb/h ( foot pound per hour ) = 0.324 cal/h ( calories per hour ),

fraction : 8/25 cal/h ( calories per hour )

gr 8 for what is required to convert kcal per h to kw

(for calculating power consumption for my mini camping fridge)

I couldn’t figure out the exact way how to convert btu to kw values manually but then this power calculator popped it up for me. I also did convert mw to kcal/h …

power amount 0.27 mega watt ( mw ) equals to 232158.21 kilo calorie per hour ( kcal/h )

My work requires “btu/min” convert to horsepower and other way around conversions from horsepower hp to btu/min but also various other units of power for mechanisms we deal with.

I was seeking an unit convert kcal/h to watts or to kilowatts for the kilo calorie per hour translations.

Comment from/about : Pam | Permalink

Cool power units cal/h watts converter I have bookmarked it. I even worked out with it changes to kilo calories kcal/hr from cal/hr units and in the opposite directions. The mathematics: 10 000 calories per hour equals 11.63 w exactly ( watts ). 10000 cal/h conversion to watts in fraction = 11 63/100 watt ( w ). Or the 10 kilocalorie per hour kcal/h = 41868.00 j/hr joules per hour.

My conversion tasks were; 5kw motor runs for 1 hour is how many units? Other units that are commonly used for power output type in motors. Motor using 150 kw equals how many mw, 150 kilowatts ( kW ) Equals = 150000000 milliwatts ( mW ).

150 kW Equals = 511821.17 BTU per hour ( btu/hr ), Fraction : 511,821 17/100 BTU per hour ( btu/h ).

Convert motor / engine horsepower to btu/hr – 150 horsepower ( hp ) Equals = 381,664.98 BTU per hour ( btu/h ), Fraction : 381664 49/50 btu/h = 381,664 983/1000 BTU per hours.

I have a airconditioner that has 14.800 btus for cooling and 8.600 btus for heating does this require 15 amp power source or would 10 amps run it also how many horsepower would this equal?

added by admin: Just to double check, what is your power in kilowatts (KW) number on the air-con label?Because from memory 1 kW equals 3412.14 BTU per hour, BTU/hr.

Thank you for your great effort in providing these conversion programs. I need a downloadable program to do the conversions power relationships to solar energy and energy efficiency calculations. Specifically, hp, kw, btu, volt, watt, tonnage, etc. just the entire table will be fine.

Regards,

Emmanuel

Please I need to download the conversion table as a program one can use to convert power units related values or, can I get the conversion table as a program but one that has tone unit in it such as BTU to tone example: 1 tone = 12000 btu.

Thanks,

Emmanuel
