Uncooked couscous is a rounded, well formed and perhaps the healthiest grain-based products. Also, on the first handling of couscous I’ve noticed it’s also quite heavier in weight, um … this couscous has somewhat a higher mass to what for instance the semolina or rolled oats have. Couscous does not contain any cholesterol and it does contain gluten.
How to simply prepare couscous;
1.) For every cup of dry couscous I pour on one cup of boiling water.
2.) At this stage I add salt with spices to taste. 3.) Swirl around very briefly and cover for 5 minutes.
4.) Uncover after the five minutes, fluff it with a fork and serve with vegetables, small tofu cubes, herbs and pre-cooked chickpea ( cicer ), perhaps some sauce if a nice one was in the fridge. That’s it. Easy and very quickly prepared food segment.

Thank god for one of your commenters. I filled out 50, chose grams of couscous, and convert to US cups. There is NO submit button. Is it supposed to appear in front of my eyes? I will use her 1/3 cup of couscous suggestion to 50 grams.

Hi Sharon,
I think you used -iPhone, to convert couscous measures, you probably have incompatibility with the built in safari version therefore javascript in your browser isn’t working correctly. I always watch for this on my device. Try rather the Chrome browser :-).
