  1. I am attempting to convert grains of rice to English pounds.

I followed steps 1, 2, & 3. Now, how do I activate the converter to obtain the answer? Is there a step 4? A ‘Go’ button? A magic incantation? Anything to make it work?

added by admin: Hello John, thanks for the note. Please read the conversion results in the gray rectangular box located just above the 2 number input boxes. It pops out automatically. You may also adjust the decimal point to at least No. 4 , because the conversion ratio between grain and pound is quite large. If you cannot see anything, pls just refresh the page, it’s possible your browser didn’t render the page correctly (it sometimes happens with some browsers.) Here goes, did this help you?:

1 grain (gr) of long grain rice = 0.000,142,857 lb (pound) = 0.0001 (rounded)

    0.000,142,857 pounds (lb , lbs) = 0.000,173,611 pounds troy (lb t , lbt) = 0.0002 (rounded)

  3. I have a recipe which calls for 11oz/1.5 cups of easy cook rice
(converted) what does the converted mean?
    Regards DMB

    added by admin:
Perhaps if the word “converted” refers to the 11oz / 1.5cup it could be that basically it already states the specific rice weight of 11 ounces to the volume of 1-1/2 cup conversion (which is handy) and any of the measurements can be practiced:
amount 1.5 cup of long grain rice Equals 10.6 ounce ( ~ 11 oz )

  4. Hi, have been trying to use this convertor but can’t seem to get it. I run a children’s charity and have been trying to work out how many US cups of rice we would get out of a 50kg bag of rice. Would really help us with our budget.

    Thank you

    Dear Pamela,

    Amount 50 kilograms – kg
Equals 250 long grain rice – cups US

Thanks for the note. 1. type the number 50 in the “Enter Amount” input field. 2. then on the left in the ‘from unit’ select the ‘kilograms’ unit option. 3. then to convert the 50 kg of long grain rice to us cups measure of long grain rice, on the right hand side among ‘to unit’ options select the ‘US Cup’ amount. On the top in the results filed you will have the exact conversion appearing.

Could I give you hand with something-s else?
