  8. How much does extra virgin olive oil weigh? I was about to find how much does an olive oil weigh. What is an actual weight or mass of virgin olive oil in grams and/or ounces. Here we go it is an excellent extra virgin olive oil specific converter with nicely grouped all measuring units for for work kitchens!

    added by admin: From one olive that is 4.5 grams heavy you can extract 0.5 gram of olive oil, that is number for total lipids / total fats found in one olive.
    If 1 tbsp (tablespoon) of extra virgin olive oil weighs 14 grams (rounded to gram) and if the ~ 0.5g (0.47g see below) olive oil equals 1 ripe olive, dividing the 14g by .5g = 28
    ( 14 grams is the weight of one tablespoon of olive oil, divided with .5g which is the oil weight from one single olive, gives 28g or 28 pieces of individual olives pcs or 28 single whole olives needed for extracting 1 tablespoon of olive oil. )

    To the second question “How much extra virgin olive oil will be extracted from 7 fresh olives?”
    1 olive = 0.5 g of olive oil
    7 olives x 0.5 ( grams of oil per one olive ) = 3.5 g of oil
    3.5 grams of olive oil can be extracted from seven ripe olives.

    1 large olive weighs on average 4.5 grams from the olive 0.47 grams of oil can be extracted.
    Average weight of one, as considered as the small olive, is 3.2 grams and this olive size gives out by pressing 0.34 g of oil (total fats that is).
    Average weight of one jumbo size olive is 8.3 grams. But this olive size produces only 0.6 grams of olive oil, growing olives larger is practical / economical more for pickling olives alike products. Smaller olive varieties are more effective for olive oil production, olive trees farmers / growers refer them as beauties of olive oil trading. The only reasons for larger olive sizes produce less oil is that, even-though they become bigger, they have much smaller pulp. The pulp is not increasing in growth along with the whole olive. ( But, there is still an extra creation, the olive sizing does not stop here at 8 plus grams per each jumbo olive, there is the supper olive type which is also being grown in the earth of this planet. It is called/known as the supper colossal olive …)
    1 Super Colossal Olive olive weighs 15 grams – as per these very large olives size average. But for the olive size versus olive oil comparison the olive produces only 1.03 grams of lipids. There is still some olive flavor in it or at least there should be, perhaps for making products like dips, spreads or other olive pastes for culinary? I am not certain whether these huge olives are pure, natural, or have they been engineered by agricultural scientists. Any clues on that? I would be interested to know more.

    I just took the extra virgin oil, poured it into my volumetric flask, measured the exact 250 milliliters volume amount and measured its mass on a precise scales. It is an interesting question. I myself used to deal with a few allergies, all seems to be solved after I put my liver back into proper healthy function. I would ask some natural medical doctor or naturopathy practitioner about the protein you’re asking. As I see it : building blocks for proteins are amino acids and oils aren’t that, oils are something different – BUT what if an oil could still contain a micro amount of a protein?
