  1. I found a supplier of quality bread flour which has higher protein content ( 10g to 11g per 100g quantity ) so I can develop my own bread mix and my own recipe for sour dough bread baking. I was looking this type of converter to convert 1 cup of bread flour how it equals in grams measurement. 1 cup of bread flour – us cup – equals 127.00 g grams.

Comment from/about : bread baking 1 cup of flour equals grams

  2. What I am using this bread flour converter tool for is; bread flour dry cups to oz conversion as I am baking 2 kinds of breads for this long weekend. What I know is that 4.7 cups of bread flour is transferred exactly into 600 grams or 21.06 oz ounces of bread flour, which is my measure required by the recipe.

Comment from/about : Bread flour cups to oz converter …

  3. What a silly unit of measurement cups are – there seems to be many different values for 1 cup depending on what flour is being used, day of the month, wind direction, temperature etc. why do so many – mainly American recipes – use cups and not kilograms or pounds? I suppose Americans can’t use scales

  5. Go by mass. Volume is good only for liquids. If you do the same routine every time for measuring flour, you can measure by whatever you like, but to make a guideline for others to follow, use a scale.

  6. Use a scale and go my mass. Use volume only for liquids. And give the French their due. Metricate. 😉

  7. The mass of flour will also depend on the amount of water content eg I have some unbleached white flour which weighs 164gms per metric cup (after sifting). It contains, therefore 30gms of water and I use volume measure and reduce the added liquid to compensate. If I use weight only the bread is very wet and doesn’t bake properly
