Instead of weighing 1oz of canola oil I easily converted it into volume measure for cooking cups. If one ounce is 0.1 cup it equals then 2 tablespoons approx. Petra

Comment from/about : How much does canola oil weigh?
The nutritional label on the Canola oil in my local supermarket states Trans Fat 1.0g per 100ml. I used your calculator to convert the 1.0 g to ml and the result was 1.0g of trans fat equals 500ml of Canola oil. This does not make sense to me. How can 1.0 g in 100 ml equal 500 ml?
Comment from/about : Trans fat in Canola oil
On the canola oil bottle I have the label of nutrients shows 100 milliliters of this oil contains 0.2 grams of trans fat. Perhaps it is possible (but still this one is genetically modified.) The label from a new natural/organic grape seed oil I have now says that it has 0.9 grams of trans fat oil in 100 milliliters and high source 15mg/100mL of vitamin E (non-modified product). I will look at more canola oil brands to learn about this further. Thank you for your note! Please mention new stuff, if you notice some other similar things.
Yes the calculations are correct for the 0.2g of trans fats per 100mL of canola oil volume. Here some examples:
100 milliliters of canola oil liquid volume = 0.2 grams trans fat
So IF both amounts are multiplied by number 5 (those 500mL of camola oil it corresponds to 1 gram of trans fats exactly) therefore:
500 milliliters of canola oil in volume contains 1 gram of trans fat oil. OR 1g of trans fat from canola oil make the total volume of canola oil to 500mL or 0.5 Liter.
