Many people actually prefer carob chocolate to ordinary chocolates. And I am one of them, although, I will certainly happily chew also a proper dark chocolate with higher cocoa content in it e.g. 70% and above. Whether it’s in carob chips or carob blocks form, carob products are based on raw natural carob powder (or carob flour it only depends on how you prefer to call it) and added are fats and oils as the powder bonding agents (and sometimes additives altering flavours when the carob based product isn’t made of only the best raw or natural only carob matter. Once I bough a mint/carob bar in our supermarket and luckily the minty taste wasn’t overpowering the carob so I could still enjoy it.)
